Hitchin Town Football Club has been given a flooring makeover by interior surfaces specialist Altro.
A range of floor coverings has been installed by Baldock-based TLC Interiors in a variety of areas within the club.
The club teamed up with North Hertfordshire District Council to turn part of the club into a Study Support Centre for young people at risk of social exclusion.
The scheme aims to place children in a supportive environment that motivates them to learn and Altro’s flooring has helped to create a bright and modern feel in the facility, while also offering the benefits of being low maintenance and hard wearing.
Altro Timbersafe was chosen for both the new Study Support Centre and the bar area within the football club itself.
Combining a wood design with slip resistance, Timbersafe is the original wood effect safety flooring. Claimed to be hardwearing and resistant to scuffs and impact, it also incorporates Altro Maxis Easyclean technology and AltroSan for ease of cleaning and hygienic performance.
Altro’s Walkway flooring was chosen for the club corridors and changing rooms. Easy to install, it is highly durable and incorporates a bacteriostat which makes it easier to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
The Club's Mark Burke said: "We’re delighted with the new flooring, and we’ve had a number of comments from visitors to the club on how impressive it looks."
